Safety is paramount to riders, drivers, and other road users like other motorists and pedestrians. We contribute towards the safety and security of the PHARE Rideshare community through the following measures: 

  • Driver verification – All drivers are thoroughly background checked as part of our vetting process.
  • Driver training – We ensure that drivers receive training to help them to provide the top-notch service that riders deserve and to deal with issues that may arise.
  • Rider verification – Riders are verified through the credit or debit cards that they upload to the PHARE Rider app. Riders who wish to pay cash need to provide separate proof of identity.
  • Vehicle roadworthiness – Vehicles used by PHARE drivers are required to be in good working condition to minimise chances of breakdowns, accidents, and damage to the environment.
  • Emergency button – Both riders and drivers are able to use their apps to report safety or security issues. 
  • Real-time trip info sharing – Riders can also use the app to share the details of their on-going journey with a trusted friend or relative.

Every driver is screened prior to becoming a More partner

Every driver must undergo a multi-step background check prior to becoming a driver, and must pass an annual background check to continue. This includes criminal background check, and driving records.

Community guidelines

At More we want every driver, and rider to be safe, and comfortable, therefore we require everyone to follow our community guidelines. Failure to meet the expectations of our Community Guidelines can lead to permanent deactivation of account.

Real-time tracking

All trips are tracked from start to finish, so there’s a record of your trip if something happens.Using sensors and GPS data we can help detect if a trip has an unexpected long stop. If so, we'll check on you and offer resources to get help.
